Centre Moves 10k Troops to J&K

Centre has decided to move over 10000 troops of the paramilitary forces to Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen the anti-terrorist operations.

The decision to send the troops came after National Security Advisor Ajit Doval returned from two-day visit to Kashmir valley.

As said by DirectorGeneral of Jammu and Kashmir police Dilbag Singh they have alreadyrequisitioned for these troops for deployment in north Kashmir.

According to an order issued by the Home Ministry, the additional forces are being deployed to strengthen "counter-insurgent grid" as well as maintaining law and order in Kashmir.

Troops are being airlifted from various parts of the country tothe state.

 Already the state has a deployment of over 40,000paramilitary personnel.

Around 100 companiesof central paramilitary forces were airlifted and deployed in the valley in themonth of February.
