After Xinhua news anchor Qu Meng, China’s Xinhua state news agency on Sunday used a lifelike female robotic news anchor that mimics human facial expressions and mannerisms.
In a one-minute video presentation by Xinhua, the artificial intelligence robot named “Xin Xiaomeng” was seen in a short haircut and wearing a pink blouse and earrings.
Remember Xinhua's first #AI anchor "who" made his first appearance last year? Now he can make more hand gestures and facial expressions! He also now has a colleague as Xinhua unveils the world's first female AI anchor pic.twitter.com/M96OHtV9kN

Xin Xiaomeng and Qu Meng are both developed by Xinhua and tech firm Sogou Inc.
It may be noted that Xinhua displayed two AI news anchors dressed in men’s clothes in November last at the World Internet Conference in Wuzhen.
