Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi on Monday visited Maa Kamakhya temple on Monday along with his wife to seek blessings after the historic verdict on Ayodhya land dispute delivered on November 9.
CJI Gogoi is on a two-day visit to Guwahati and on Sunday he attended a book release programme at ITA Machkhowa.
During his visit to Assam, the CJI also visited his native village at Khaliamari in Dibrugarh district.
Meanwhile, CJI Gogoi plans to settle in Guwahati after his retirement on November 17. Also, the Gauhati High Court last week passed a resolution to extend the services of a dedicated private secretary, peon, and a chauffeur-driven vehicle to Gogoi after he retires as the CJI.
