On the day which marks the seventh death anniversary of 'Sudhakantha' Dr Bhupen Hazarika, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has inaugurated 'Sonowali Sowarani', a museum dedicated to the legend at his SamadhiKshetra.
Hazarika's memories and creations have been conserved in the museum. Memories in the form of still photographs can be seen filling the empty walls.
His contributions both cultural and political towards not only the state but also the nation have been portrayed aesthetically at the museum.
Along with the CM, Cultural Affairs Minister Naba Kumar Doley and Chairman of Jyoti Chitrabon Film Studio, pabitra Margherita were also presnt at the event.
Taking to Twitter, on Bhupen Da's death anniversary the CM said, "Remembering immortal legend, cultural icon, "Bard of the Brahmaputra" Dr Bhupen Hazarika on his death anniversary. His message of harmony, brotherhood and peace are our constant inspiration and guiding force."
