Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday reviewed progress of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Janata Bhawan, Guwahati.
The CM urged for fast follow up of various aspects related to PMUY and directed officials to engage youths as resource persons to troubleshoot beneficiary issues and spread awareness.
While reviewing welfare schemes for Divyangs, Sarbananda Sonowal directed officials to provide homes to all eligible divyangs under PMAY on a priority basis.
Sarbananda Sonowak also directed officials to develop infrastructure for Anganwadi centres in order to utilize them as nodal centres for skilling youths, women and Self Help Groups.
Officials were also instructed to complete 1 lakh PMAY houses by September 30.
