Assam's total tally of coronavirus cases rose by 735 to reach 16,806 on Sunday evening while taking the death toll to 36, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
Meanwhile, 10, 894 cases have recovered so far and 468 patients were discharged COVID19 negative yesterday.
Out of the 735 new cases reported yesterday, 400 cases were from the capital city of Guwahati. The active cases across the state has spike to 5873.
