Jorhat, one of the worst affected Assam districts in this ongoing pandemic, will end its lockdown soon. It will begin its 'unlock' process from Thursday, that is July 23.
Like Guwahati, shops situated only on one side of the street can open on a given day. The ones on the opposite side will open the next day.
The COVID-19 scenario in Jorhat has become a matter of much concern. Along with JMCH, other hospitals have also got filled with COVID-19 patients.
Jorhat was under lockdown after the positive cases began to soar. Lockdown was clamped in order to slow the spread of the contagion in the community.
The move comes close on the heels of Guwahati deciding to open the shops from July 20.
