Team India is all set to play their first-ever day-night Test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 22. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will ring the customary bell at the Eden Gardens to start the historic day-night Test.
According to Avishek Dalmiya, the secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal, both Hasina and Banerjee will be seen at the bell ringing ceremony to start off the first day’s proceedings.
It may be mentioned here that India and Bangladesh along with Afghanistan and Ireland are the only teams to have not played a day-night Test yet. Bangladesh agreed to BCCI’s proposal for the Test match under lights.
