Bollywood Megastar, Amitabh Bachchan will receive this year’s prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday evening said in a tweet that Big B will receive India’s highest film honour.
“The legend Amitabh Bachchan, who entertained and inspired for two generations, has been selected unanimously for Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest congratulations to him,” Javadekar tweeted.
It may be mentioned here that last year, Vinod Khanna was posthumously honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
Bachchan has won four National Film Awards for Best Actor through his career.
