Bollywood Megastar, AmitabhBachchan will receive this year's prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. UnionMinister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday evening said in a tweet that Big B willreceive India's highest film honour.
"The legend Amitabh Bachchan, whoentertained and inspired for two generations, has been selected unanimously forDadasaheb Phalke Award. The entire country and international community ishappy. My heartiest congratulations to him," Javadekar tweeted.
It may be mentioned here thatlast year, Vinod Khanna was posthumously honoured with the Dadasaheb PhalkeAward.
Bachchan has won four NationalFilm Awards for Best Actor through his career.
