In a sensational incident, a girl student was stabbed to death by her friend in Dalgaon area under Darrang district on Tuesday. The locals recovered her body in an unconscious state by the side of a road.
The girl was immediately rushed a hospital, where she was declared ‘brought dead’. She has been identified as Monimala.
According to reports, she was a class-X student of Mangaldoi Higher Secondary School. She was returning after attending the Freshers’ programme at her institute, when she was attacked by another girl.
Meanwhile, after registering a case, initiated an investigation. The reason behind the brutal murder is yet to be ascertained.
