Day 2: ‘Kanchanjangha’ Earns 59.1 Lakh

Zubeen Garg- starrer Kanchanjangha which released on Friday has taken a decent start at the box office. The movie has collected around 59.1 lakh on its second day in cinemas.

The movie, which marks singer, music director, composer, songwriter, director and actor Zubeen Garg's another directorial venture after the release of 'Mission China', had collected around 40 lakh on its opening day in cinemas.

Kanchanjangha box office collection on the second day could be considered as decent start given that the makers have released the movie in only about 69 screens.

The business was not affected at all by Prabhas' big-budget film Saaho (which is still dominating the Indian market), Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor- starrer Chhichhore, which released this week.

Kanchanjangha is a story of Anirban, an ambitious rebellious young guy who fight against the system and society. It also ropes in APSC scam which is allegedly happening in Assam for years and strict action was taken against the accused in 2017.
