Debutant Vihari, Jadeja takes India to a respectable score

In the ongoing fifth test match between India and England at the Oval, debutant Hanuma Vihari and Ravindra Jadeja saved India the blemishes as they took the score to 292 all out to concede a marginal lead of 40 runs.

While Hanuma Vihari played a gritty innings of 56, Jadeja was not out on 86 when last man Mohammad Shami lost his wicket.

Earlier, resuming their first innings at the overnight score of 174 for 6, India were 240 for 7 at lunch on Day 3.

India made a good start today with Vihari and Jadeja guiding India past 200 runs and bringing the deficit under 100 runs at lunch.

England were bowled out for 332 in their first innings
