Two persons died of dengue and related complications on Sunday in Lumding.
The deceased have been identified as Riku G (24) and Amitabh Dey, who is a doctor of Lumding FRU.
As per sources, many persons were found positive for dengue infection in Lumding in the last one month.
Lumding organisations had informed to health department of Assam stressing the need for initiating actions to implement preventive and control measures to check spread of dengue and other vector-borne diseases.
Organisations had called for strengthening of vector-control activities with deployment of trained personnel and availability of logistics in the district.
