Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Soorma’ grosses Rs 13.25 crore in opening weekend

As per Box Office India reports, Diljit Dosanjh starrer 'Soorma' has earned Rs 13.25 crore in its first weekend. The Sandeep Singh biopic earned Rs 3.35 crore on Friday, Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 5.25 crore on Sunday.

Written and directed by Shaad Ali, the film also features Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in key roles.

The film is based on the real life story of legendary hockey player Sandeep Singh, who made headlines for his miraculous comeback after an unfortunate accident. Sandeep is also called 'Flicker Singh', as he was one of the world' most dangerous drag-flickers of all time with drag speeds of over 145 km/hr.

Soorma is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh.

The film was released in theatres across the country last Friday.
