The first-ever Bamboo Industrial Park in the Northeast will be set up at Dima Hasao district of Assam. The park will be set up in Manderdisa in Dima Hasao.
Union Minister of State for the development of the North Eastern Region, Jitendra Singh took to Twitter to announce that the park will be set up in the area of 75 hectares of land with a total cost of Rs. 50crore. He said that the in-principle approval will be granted in August this year.
Singh in a tweet said, “First 100 days DoNER: First-ever Bamboo Industrial Park #Northeast, in Dima Hasao district of Assam. This unique project will be a part of the first 100 days agenda of the Modi Government 2.0 and will come up in an area of 75 hectares, at a cost of Rs.50 crores.”
