‘Distorted’ Bihu | Students’ Body Moves Delhi Police HQ

The Bihu dance presented at the inaugural ceremony of the Fit India Movement, recently triggered a controversy all over the State.

All Assamese students Association on Saturday lodged an FIR at Delhi Police Headquarter, ITO against Zenith Dance Academy and its directors for hurting the cultural sentiment of Assamese people by showing a distorted form of Bihu Dance.

The accused is reportedly a dance group name "Zenith Dance Troup" who performs dance shows and program in the world and having their office at Mayur Vihar 1D Acharya Niketan Mayur Vihar and Satya Niketan 282 Satya Niketan, Opposite Venkateswara College, Moti Bagh.

The union has also demanded a public apology from the organizer of the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the nation-wide "Fit India Movement" and appealed to every citizen to remain healthy and fit. The event was launched at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi.
