The draft of additional list of National Register of Citizens (NRC) has been published on Wednesday with the inclusion of 1,02,462 names.
The NRC authorities have published the draft additional list and the final list will be published on July 31.
The draft additional list is available at Deputy Commissioners’ offices and NRC Sewa Kendras’ (NSK).
However, the hearing of claims and objections will start from June 29 and people will be able to collect the forms of claims and objections from the respective NSK’s.
The names of 1,02, 462 people have been published in the draft list who were left out in the draft NRC list published on June 30, 2018 as they were said to be ineligible for inclusion due to the reason that they might said as Doubtful Voter, Declared Foreigner or Person with case pending at Foreigners’ Tribunal.
Those persons whose names are included in the additional list can submit their claims and after proving their eligibility their names will be included in the Final NRC. They will be informed individually through letters to their addresses. They’ll be given an opportunity to file their claims before July 11, two weeks before the final publication of the NRC.
The final NRC will be published on July 31.
