An elated Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Assam’s Education Minister, today expressed his satisfaction over the outcome of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exam results this year.
He expressed his happiness by saying that out of the Top 10 rank holders, 5 are from government schools in the state. Also, boys have outshone girls in the exams in Assam.
He added that Secondary Education Board of Assam has been strict this year in providing grace marks to students which shows that students have really performed well this year. He also emphasized on removing the grace system and evaluations to take part on how students fare in the exam.
“Students securing above 75% marks will be awarded with laptops,” Bhattacharya informed.
