In Jammu and Kashmir, four terrorists have been shot dead by security forces during an encounter. The incident took place under Pulwama district Saturday morning, police said.
After receiving specific information from intelligence agencies about the presence of terrorists in Hanjan area in Pulwama district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation, said a police official.
While that the security forces were conducting searches, the terrorists who were hiding fired on them, the police said.
The security forces retaliated, leading to the encounter, the official added.
