In the 44 years of ICC Cricket World Cup history, 2019 edition of the tournament will witness the maiden winner as England will face New Zealand in the final match of the World Cup at Lords today.
England beat arch-rivals Australia to seal the final spot, while New Zealand thrashed favourites India to set up the final date.
England have made it to their fourth World Cup final whereas the Kiwis have reached for the second time. The host England last made it to the final in 1992, while New Zealand have reached the final in last edition of World Cup in 2015.
It may be mentioned here that in the group stage, England defeated the Kiwis by 119 runs.
Meanwhile, the weather is expected to remain clear on Sunday. Reports suggested that the sky will remain mostly cloudy from the time of toss to the completion of the match but the chances of rain are nil.
