Ex-Meghalaya CM Donkupar Roy Passes Away
Former Meghalaya Chief Minister and United Democratic Party (UDP) President Donkupar Roy died on Sunday. Roy was 64 at the time of his death.
Roy was admitted to a New Delhi hospital for the last 10 days due to some stomach related complications and died on Sunday at around 3:15 pm.
Roy served as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya during the period of 2008-09. He was also the head of the UDP. He was first elected as an independent MLA in 1988 from Shella Assembly constituency in East Khasi Hills district.
