The treat of Fani is over and rain has continued to lash all over the North eastern region but life is slowly limping back to normalcy in Assam.
After a daylong rain and power cut till mid night, this morning the Guwahati city has started resuming its life although low lying areas of the city are still under water but the things are improving with continuous pumping of water.
The public transport, which was thrown out of gear have resumed this morning and the shops and business establishments have opened.
Last night it became a major chaos in the city as main arterial road came under water. The railway have also resumed its operation and flight services are expected to be back to normal by this evening.
In Assam damage have been so far minimal.
