The eighth day of FIFA World Cup 2018 saw Croatia power into the last 16 with a 3-0 victory against Argentina in a Group D match at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Russia on June 21.
Second-half goals from Ante Rebic, Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic sealed the victory for Croatia.
Team Argentina now has just one point from two games and are on the brink of elimination from the tournament.
Meanwhile, France entered the knockout stage, beating Peru 1-0 in a group C match at the Ekaterinburg Arena. It may be mentioned here that Kylian Mbappe became France's youngest goal-scorer in World Cup history with his goal in the same match.
The Group C match between Denmark and Australia ended in a draw with both the teams scoring one goal each.
