The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Maharashtra government to conduct the floor test on Wednesday at 5 pm. The floor test should be videographed and there will be no secret ballot, the court said.
The court further said that the Pro tem speaker will administer oath to MLAs.
The MLAs will take oath tomorrow by 5 pm following which the floor test will be conducted. The pro tem speaker will have to be appointed immediately by the Governor, says Supreme Court.
After the top court’s order, Prithviraj Chavan said that the honourable court has accepted their prayer. The MLAs will be administered the oath beginning 11 am on Wednesday and the floor test will take place at 5 pm.
