‘Foli’ brings ray of hope for unemployed youth in Nagaon

The youth in Assam are finding out different ways to become self-reliant and generate means of livelihood. Meanwhile, a team of enthusiastic youths from Nagaon district has showed a tremendous example for the educated unemployed youths in Assam.

Royals Brothers Enterprise (RBE) started by a group of unemployed youth of Rupahi in Nagaon district has come as a ray of hope for many youth in the area by helping them engage in a note book manufacturing company.

Established in 2015 by a few unemployed youth, the company currently has around 20 employees, doing a variety of jobs like Marketing and manufacturing in and around the state.

The group has taken up a project of notebook manufacturing namely 'Foli' at Rupahi with an aim to provide good quality notebooks to the student-cum- public as well as enable its volunteers to enhance their income.

The business organization had been started by three youths namely Gitartha Saikia (26), Kiran Saikia (22) and Bhaskar Saikia (27).

They are manufacturing different types of notebooks, where they try to present the martyrs of the soil, heroes-cum-warriors of ancient Assam and glories of the state like Lachit Borphukan, Bir Chilarai, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, Zubeen Garg, Angaraag Papon Mahanta.

Apart from this 'Foli' has been promoting Assam's rich culture, historical monuments and tourism sectors through the venture.

'Foli's product range includes a wide range of School Notebooks, Foli Notebook and Office Notebooks.

The enthusiastic team believes that "If we work hard and if we do it honestly then everything is possible. If we want to earn decent money then we have to work hard and not be lazy. Then only we will succeed in life,".

" In Assam, there are so many educated youth who are wasting their time, and when it comes to money, they always depend on their parents, If our youths really want to succeed in life then they have to work hard and they don't have to feel ashamed to take up any such kind of sincere work," locals said appreciating the endeavour.

"There are more than 15 lakh educated unemployed youths in Assam. If we work hard and if we do it honestly then everything is possible. If we want to earn decent money then we have to work hard and not be lazy. Then only we will succeed in life," the employees of 'Foli' said.

Taking up such self-employment ventures will help in addressing the unemployment problem and generate livelihood opportunities for the youth.
