Former Chief Minister of Bihar Jagannath Mishra passed away on Monday at a hospital in New Delhi after suffering from a prolonged illness. Mishra was 82 at the time of his death.
Mishra was a three-time chief minister before the advent Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Bihar political scene.
Before Lalu Prasad Yadav became the face of Bihar politics, Mishra was the tallest political leader of Bihar for the longest time.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed grief on the sudden demise of Mishra.
Bihar government has also declared a three-day state mourning in Bihar. The former CM will be cremated with state honours.
