Acting on orders from the Supreme Court, four foreigners have been released from the Goalpara detention camp.
It may be noted that the released foreigners had served more than three years in the camp.
However, the immigrants would have to abide by certain restrictions after being released.
The four who have been released had been biometric examined and were freed after giving a bond of Rs 2 lakh.
They will have to present themselves at the local police station once in a week.
If they plan to shift to a new place, the released will have to inform the particular police station.
It has been informed that Assam government will release the 335 foreigners detained in various detention camps in batches.
