Four terrorists were killed and a policeman was martyred in an encounter in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning. It must be noted here that a civilian was also killed in the incident.
The terrorists reportedly belonged to Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK).
Security forces, including the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, had launched a search operation early morning in the area after receiving intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists.
During the operation, a gunfight broke out after terrorists hiding in a house open fired upon the team; the owner of the house was also killed in the exchange of fire.
It may be mentioned here that mobile internet services have been suspended in Srinagar, Anantnag and Pulwama districts as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order in the region.
