Afraud was arrested for allegedly duping a man of Rs. 80 lakh. TheSilchar Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested the fraud identified as Arup Nag.He has been absconding since four years.
According to sources, Arup was apprehended from his native village near Silchar town. As per a complaint lodged against Arup, he duped a man of Rs. 80,00,000 by luring him to invest his money in various schemes of his company.
"We have received several complaints against the accused and he was absconding in last four years," said a Silchar police officer.
