Game of Thrones’ watch has finally ended

SPOILER ALERT ahead! For those who have not yet watched the 6th and the final episode of the Game of Thrones Season 08, we caution you to not proceed further.

Well, with the airing of the sixth episode in India today, the most hyped about show, Game of Thrones has come to an end. This episode has put an end to many speculations ending with a different twist.

Daenerys Targaryen's death was something that fans had seen coming and also there were prredictions made that it could be Jon Snow who would prevent the world from being a victim of a 'mad queen', after which he was held a prisoner.

Now, the twist! Bran becomes the King of the six kingdoms. Why six you may ask? Because the North, like always chose to be an independent kingdom.

The scene that decides on Bran as the new king, begins with a council with Sansa Stark, Arya Stark, Bran Stark, Yara Greyjoy, Ser Davos, Ser Brienne Of Tarth, Gendry, Samwell Tarly and others present in it. Now when Dany is dead and Jon a prisoner, Tyrion Lannister suggests that Bran Stark, the Three-Eyed Raven, become the new king. Later, Bran chooses Tyrion as his hand and decides to send Jon Snow to the Night's Watch.

On the other hand, Ser Brienne of Tarth fills up the pages of history beginning with the heroic deeds of Ser Jamie Lannister.

Notably, George RR Martin's book The Song Of Ice And Fire also finds a mention in the new king's new counsel.

Drogon, who burnt down the Iron Throne, left with the 'mad queen's' corpse and was last seen flying towards the east.

Game Of Thrones finally ends leaving Sansa Stark as "The queen in the North" and with Arya Stark leaving for west of Westeros, where the maps stop, in a ship marked with a Stark's sigil.
