Crimes against women in Assam areincreasing day by day and although there are laws to prevent such crimes thecases are rising. Even after several marches and protests by various section ofsociety calling for more protection of girl child as well as women, it hasemerged that a girl student of Gauhati University (GU) was allegedly molestedby a teacher inside a bus on Sunday.
According to allegation made bythe girl, she was travelling to Guwahati from her hometown Mangaldoi, when ateacher named Dulal Bora inappropriately touched her. "The middle-aged man hasmisbehaved with me," alleged the GU student.
Reports suggested that Dulal Boraworks as an assistant teacher and is a resident of Narangi area in the city.
Meanwhile, the girl has lodged apolice complaint regarding the incident.
