In yet another massive blow to the Indian national Congress, 10 out of the total 15 MLAs are set to join BJP. This move will effect the two-third merger.
According to reports, the Congress MLAs had met the speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Rajesh Patnekar in the presence of Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday.
Patnekar had confirmed receiving a letter from the MLAs for merger with BJP and that he had accepted it.
The 10 MLAs led by the leader of opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar are expected to meet BJP central leadership in New Delhi today.
