Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Monday arrested six teachers in Goalpara for embezzlement of minority student scholarship funds.
Among the arrested includes four male teachers and two female teachers. They were identified as Suleman Ali, Sabir Ahmed, Fulebar Ali, Nazrul Islam, Sadita Khatun and Habida Khatun.
The arrested teachers are from various schools in the district. They are now being kept at Goalpara police station by the CID.
