Strict actions will be taken against those who sell Banarasi clothes in the name of Sualkuchi silk. Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Assam government has instructed Kamrup SP to take immediate measures against those who have been selling Banarasi or machine-made clothes in the name of Assam silk of Sualkuchi. He further said that the government has asked the SP to seize such clothes.
