Guwahati based Vantage Circle wins $ 20 mn contracts in US

The Guwahati based Employee rewards and recognition platform Vantage Circle bagged USD 20 million contracts (around Rs 137 crore) from one of the largest US enterprises, making it biggest ever single deal by any Assam based company.

The winning of the contract marks the entry of Vantage Circle into North America, the company said in a release without disclosing details.

Founded by two school friends  Anjan Pathak and Partha Neog in 2011, the start-up provided Cloud-based employee benefits and engagement platform for corporate.

Anjan Pathak CTO and Partha Neog CEO of Vantage Circle company.

As an employee benefits platform, Vantage Circle creates awards that are conferred on employees for various career accomplishments.

“We took three months to close this deal, which is quite less in the enterprise selling context. We believe the reason is the innovativeness of our product and the ability of our team to be able to deploy the solution in three weeks’ time,” Vantage Circle CEO Partha Neog said.

“We are now looking to go global in an aggressive way starting off with the US. With our unique combination of the product suite, covering the entire gamut of employee engagement and great pricing, we feel we have a very good competitive advantage,” Neog said.

Vantage Circle is a cloud-based employee benefit and engagement platform for companies to engage and encourage employees through privileges, rewards, and engagement programmes.

Anjan Pathak and Partha Neog are friends from school who wanted to start a company of their own. In 2010, while discussing startup ideas, the space of discount sites which were mushrooming then, interested them. They decided to start Vantage Circle to cater to the corporate sector, wanting to create a niche, as there were many other players in this space catering to a general audience.

Vantage Circle is a one-stop-shop for employee engagement programmes. From shopping benefits to childcare programmes, corporates can avail a wide range of employee benefit programmes and employee engagement activities. Vantage Circle’s module includes Vantage Global Rewards, Vantage Social Recognition, Vantage Deals, Vantage Fit for employee health and wellness, and Vantage Pulse for employee sentiment analysis.

Vantage Circle is a rather peculiar company. With 90 per cent of its workforce based out of the scenic river town of Guwahati, the seven-year-old startup has kept its operations away from India’s usual startup hubs of Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.

The startup claims to be one of India’s largest employee engagement platform, with more than a million corporate employees. Vantage Circle manages corporate benefits solutions for some of the biggest corporates in India including Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, Cognizant, EXL, GE, HCL, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro among others.
