Just few hours before stepping into a new year, a new Commissioner of Police has been appointed in Guwahati.
IPS Deepak Kumar is all set to take the responsibility of the Police Commissioner of the city today.
Earlier, Kumar had been appointed as an IGP (Law and Order).
Kumar will take charge from Pradip Chandra Saloi, who will take retirement on superannuation today.
