The Assam government has decided to set up another temporary hospital with 800 beds at Khanapara field, Guwahati for treatment of COVID-19 patients, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday.
Taking to Twitter, the Minister said an 800-bed temporary hospital for COVID-19 patients is under construction at Khanapara field, Guwahati & will soon be functional, adding up to our treatment capacity.
Inspected the site along with health officials & advised them to ensure best facilities & practices, he added.
