A huge haul of intoxicating tablets worth Rs 10 lakh destined for Siliguri via Guwahati has been seized from a hideout in Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT), police officials said on Sunday.
Police arrested two accused in the case. The accused have been identified as Kamruz Jaman and Amir Khan.
They were arrested after receiving input that a huge consignment of intoxicating tablets was dispatched from Manipur by a vehicle to Siliguri via Guwahati. Kamruz and Amir made a plan to send the intoxicants by a vehicle bearing registration number WB 73 E 4335.
