Guwahati registered 122 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, informed State Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle.
A total of 140 new cases have been detected today in Assam out of which 122 are from Guwahati alone. The state's tally now stands at 8547 with 2885 active cases.
The minister in his tweet wrote, "Alert ~ 140 new #COVID19+ cases detected. I must mention that 122 out of these are from Guwahati City and it is my humble plea to all to strictly follow lockdown guidelines to be able to flatten the curve. No need to panic, however."
