In a sensational incident, the owner of Guwahati's Hotel Grand Majesty allegedlythrashed a female employee. The owner of the hotel is Nekibur Zaman, who is theson of former Assam Minister Nurjamal Sarkar.
According to reports, Nekibur Zaman thrashed the female employee on Tuesday morning. He assaulted her in the reception counter of the hotel. The employee was Guest Relationship Officer of OYO. Later, the OYO authority lodged an FIR against the Zaman.
Meanwhile, the son of the former Congress minister on Thursday surrendered before Basistha Police.
