The HatigaonPolice are set to exhume the remains of Sushmita Rajbongshi Khan after a courtin Guwahati ordered fresh autopsy to ascertain her cause of death. The Courtorder was issued regarding the ongoing investigation into her murder.
The HatigaonPolice will exhume the body from Sijubari Kabarsthan on Monday.
It maybe mentioned here that Sushmita Rajbongshi Khan was allegedly murdered by herhusband Juwel Khan. He brutally thrashed her over dowry, causing her headinjuries. Sushmita breathed her last at Critical Care Hospital in the city onJuly 27.
Basedon a complaint lodged by her family, Hatigaon Police arrested Juwel, who laterescaped from custody. However, the police on Monday re-arrested Juwel.
