Heavyrain lashed Guwahati on Thursday evening, leading to flash floods and trafficsnarls at Chandmari, on Zoo Road and GS Road for over an hour. According toreports, almost knee-deep water had gathered in Zoo road.
Therewas a forecast of heavy rain on Thursday.
Thepedestrians, motorists rushing to different places in faced a lot ofinconveniences as the traffic came to a standstill. The commuters alleged thatthe gutters were clogged and no adequate measures were taken by the civic bodycausing flash flood in Guwahati.
"Therewas heavy rain and traffic snarls but no adequate measures were taken by thecivic body," said a resident.
