Himanta is Assam’s Jinnah : Pradyut Bordoloi

Addressing a press conference at Rajib Bhawan on Friday, Senior Congress leader and former Assam minister Pradyut Bordoloi said that Himanta Biswa Sarma resembles founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Pointing out the resemblance between Jinnah and Himanta, Bordoloi said, Jinnah converted from Hindu to Muslim. Similarly Himanta  switched to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Congress.

He also alleged that Himanta has been playing communal politics and creating a division between Hindus and Muslims in Assam. Bordoloi said that BJP wants to implement the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 only to create an permanent vote bank.

There is an undeclared brawl between Himanta and Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal.

Himanta is planning to be the Chief Minister of Assam associating himself more with BJP chief Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi, said Bordoloi

Bashing BJP, the former minister power minister said, they is trying to divide the Assamese society and both Sonowal and Himanta are causing a threat and Assamese people will soon be minorities in their own land .

There was once a time when Himanta Biswa associated himself closely with late Chief Minister of Assam Hiteshwar Saikia and former Chief Minister  Tarun Gogoi to fulfill his political dreams, added Bordoloi.

Bordoloi appealed the BJP leaders of Assam who has been opposing the bill to intensify their protest.

He also took a jibe on Asom Gana Parishad (AGP)  and said  they separated themselves from BJP as they had no options left
