Responding to Himanta Biswa Sharma's communal comment on Rajiv Bhawan, Boko MLA Nandita Das of the Indian National Congress on Monday said that Himanta Biswa Sharma's quality of thinking has reached a new low.
"Himanta Biswa Sharma has come down on quality of thinking. Congress is an ideological party, we don't find it important to comment on every issue. Members of Congress party don't eat rice at Rajiv Bhawan, we eat at home. Himanta Biswa Sharma has been making such communal comments for a long time. The Congress has a high command to look into internal conflicts. There is a disciplinary committee in the Congress that takes necessary actions on the same. I am also in that committee," said Das.
The statement comes after Himanta Biswa Sharma's comment about renaming Rajiv Bhawan to Ajmal Bhawan.
"The Congress' Bhawan shall now become Ajmal Bhawan. I myself find it sad as I was once affiliated to Congress," stated Sharma after Congress announced their alliance with AIUDF.
The minister also claimed that Tarun Gogoi should forget that he was the Chief Minister of Assam once for his pro-Ajmal status.
