Nalbari has been able to register the highest pass percentage under the Commerce stream in the Higher Secondary examinations. Along with highest pass percentage, Pratibha Baishya from Nalbari Commerce College has been successful in securing the 7th rank in Assam, in the commerce stream.
With 97.79 pass percentage, Nalbari has performed the best among all the districts of the state, while with 95.60 Dhemaji stands at the second position and Nagaon with 95.14 has clinched the third spot.
In Nalbari, a total of 272 candidates appeared for the HS examinations under the commerce stream. 53 candidates secured 1st division, 122 secured 2nd division and 91 secured 3rd division. Out of the 272 candidates, 266 have passed the exams.
In Dhemaji, 386 candidates had appeared for the examination, out of which 41 secured 1st division, 114 secured 2nd division and 214 secured 3rd division. A total of 369 candidates have been qualified in the examination.
In Nagaon, 1050 candidates appeared under the commerce stream. 267 candidates secured 1st division, 408 secured 2nd division and 324 secured 3rd division. Out of the total, 999 have passed the examination. Notably, the overall pass percentage has improved in 2019 with 87.59% as compared to 2018 with 84.64% and 2017 with 82.72%.
