The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the Assam HSLC and AHM results on Wednesday (May 15). The pass percentage saw a relative increase of 4.19 percent in comparison to the previous year’s 56.04 percent.
Meanwhile, the son of a mason (Raaj-Mistri) brought laurels to Biswanath Chariali area by scoring 95.8 percent marks in the HSLC examination. Rocky Sahu is the student of Khorasimolu High school.
Thanking the family members as well as his teachers after the achievement, Rocky told, “I thank all, who have supported me; this was not possible without their support.”
Rocky scored 100 out 100 in Mathematics, 99 in Science, 99 in Social Science, 91 in English, 91 in Assamese and 95 in Computer Science.
His father never allowed the financial crisis come in the way of his son’s education. Speaking to media after his son’s success, Rocky’s father said, “We are poor and it was hard to run the family, but I never neglected my son’s studies.”
On the other hand, Assam Minister Ranjit Dutta took the responsibility of Rocky’s higher studies following the declaration of the HSLC result. Rocky wants to pursue engineering in the near future.
