A sudden death shocks Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) on Wednesday.
Mysterious death of a student, whose body was found hanging from the ceiling, in IIT has spread a tensed situation in the institution.
The deceased has been identified as Nageshwari SC, a resident of Dhansiri Girls Hostel. However, the reason behind the incident is yet unknown.
Nageshwari was a first year Mechanical Engineering student of the B.Tech programme, who hailed from Karnataka.
The police and the Magistrate have reached the place of incident and investigations are underway.
