The Lakhiganj Police in an operation seized an illegal rice laden truck at Bilasipara. The SML Turbo vehicle with registration number AS 01HC-9617 has been seized at Baghmari in Bilasipara. The truck has been seized while it was carrying the rice from Lakhiganj to Raniganj.
Police also apprehended the truck driver Abed Ali.
According to police, the truck was carrying 61 bags of rice which were meant for distribution and the rice bags have been taken from Lakhiganj Cooperative Society in Dhubri.
Police started the initial investigation. The locals also demanded to arrest the main culprit and to take action against them.
