India observes the second anniversary of the surgical strike carried out the Indian Army across the Line of Control as ‘Parakram Parv’ and the events to mark the occasion begin today. Several events will be organised in different cities across the country on the occasion.
On this day the Indian Army entered Pakistan and eliminated almost fifty militants on its own soil.
To commemorate the valour of the armed forces the day will be celebrated in various colleges and Universities of the country. The University Grants Commission (UGC) have directed every Universities in India to celebrate Surgical Strikes Day.
The Universities are ready with events involving interactive sessions with retired army personnel and war veterans , NCC cadets, as well as poster-making and postcard-writing competitions.
