India’s exports grow by 20.18% this May

India's exports grew by 20.18% to $28.86 billion in May, 2018 as compared to $24.01 billion during the same period last year.

Petroleum products, engineering goods, hand loom products, drugs and pharmaceuticals have showed a high export growth rate, as per reports.

According to data released by the Ministry of Commerce, the cumulative value of exports for the month of April and May this year was over $54 billion against $48.65 billion last year, registering a growth of around 13%.

The Ministry also informed that imports during May this year were valued at $43.48 billion, which was 14.85% higher than the imports in May last year.
